Meet Local Candidates: Voter Education Event

Come meet the candidates on your ballot! The individuals running for local county offices will make many of the decisions affecting Shawnee County residents in our daily lives. At this unique, drop-in-style candidate event, voters (that's you!) will have an opportunity to speak to candidates in small group discussions about the issues most important to them. Bring your questions! Bring a friend! This event is free, nonpartisan, and open to the public.

County positions on this year's ballot include County Commission District 2, County Commission District 3, County Clerk, District Attorney, County Treasurer, County Sheriff, and Register of Deeds. All candidates for these positions are invited.

Volunteers will be available to help you start a conversation with the candidates, check your voter registration, and make your plan to vote in the 2024 General Election. For more information on voting in Kansas, visit myvoteinfo.voteks.org.

Thank you to the Washburn University Aleshire Center for Leadership and Community Engagement and the Topeka Voter Collaborative for hosting this event. And special thanks to all our community partners helping to spread the word!
